Hyland Hills Park and Recreation District Patrons

(March 13, 2020) — The Coronavirus (“COVID-19”) is now causing international, national and local concern. Colorado Governor Polis has declared a state of emergency in our state.

Out of an abundance of caution for the health and safety of our guests and staff, effective immediately and until further notice, all District indoor facilities are closed including FIT by Hyland Hills, Adventure Golf and Raceway, Ice Centre at the Promenade, Carrol Butts Athletic Park and all recreation centers.   While parks are open, restrooms, playgrounds, tennis courts, basketball courts, skateparks and picnic areas are closed.

The Annual Easter Egg Hunt is cancelled.

There is currently no known vaccine to prevent the COVID-19 and it is imperative to help contain the spread of it wherever possible. In the best interest of all our employees, patrons, residents and friends, please adhere to the following practices and advice from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC):

Avoid close contact with anyone who is sick;

Clean your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially if you have been      in a public place, or after blowing your nose;

Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth with unwashed hands;

Put distance between yourself and other people;

Cover cough and sneezes;

Stay home if you are sick.
